Southeast Florida Chapter of NIGP

The Southeast Florida Chapter of NIGP, Inc. is a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of the public procurement profession in the South Florida region. The Chapter was charted in 1990.

An affiliate of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), the chapter offers members the educational, professional development and networking opportunities they require to efficiently and ethically carry out their responsibilities. Our members are purchasing officers, agents, buyers, managers and others associated with public sector procurement.

OUR MISSION AND GOALS

• To promote ethical, efficient and cost-effective public purchasing policies and practices.
• To present educational programs, products and services for public purchasing personnel.
• To provide a vehicle for the exchange among members of useful information about policies, practices, procedures, products and services of common interest.
• To facilitate the conduct of purchasing activities by government and other public agencies.
• To provide assistance to other charitable and educational organizations in the conduct of similar activities.

In addition to its chapter activities, SEFL NIGP also supports the South Florida Governmental Purchasing Group Co-operative, a regional organization of government agencies that provide cost savings and cost avoidances to member-entities by utilizing the buying power of combined requirements for frequently-purchased basic items.
